Mindfulness Meditation

“When you love someone, the best thing you can offer is your presence” A lovely quote from Thich Nhat Hanh. Beautiful?Thich Nhat Hanh
Appreciate the moment that you are with someone, starting of course with yourself. Appreciate the moment as that moment will never come again, never. I t doesn’t matter if it’s of what we interpret as good or bad moment, just stay with that moment, explore it. Your mind starts wondering again, thinking of bills etc, no problem, let it wonder, but what you actually do is that you are aware of it, by being aware means that you know what you are doing on this particular moment and instantly by doing that you are present with your body and your mind. If you start being aware of that kind of situations you are very much practice. As Mindfulness meditation is simply the practice of paying attention in a non-judgmental way to what we are experiencing at that moment, whatever this may be. Mindfulness is about being aware and living in the present, rather than thinking about the past or anticipating the future. Modern life can be stressful and busy. As well as most of the time we are carried along by the force of emotions, habits and conditioning and end up feeling tired and stressed by everyday life. Practicing meditation can change this. A regular meditation practice can help to bring a greater sense of inner peace, to sleep better, to improve mood, to handle the ups and downs of daily life with more clarity and ease and to relate to others with more compassion and warmth. Mindfulness meditation is a life- long study. It is not just sitting formal on a zafu (meditation cushion) for 30 – 40 minutes a day, but our whole life becomes a constant practice, 24 hours a day. Mindfulness meditation is about our daily life; about having better relationships, about working better, about raising our children better.
